| Lyness Accommodation offers 2 very private and romantic self contained bed and breakfast accommodations in Kerikeri in the picturesque Bay of Islands.
Lyness Cottage and Lyness Suite both sleep 2 people and offer privacy and water views over the sparkling waters of the Kerikeri Inlet.
Lyness Cottage Accommodation is one of the original buildings of Strathbrae, which was the homestead of the Lyness family for over 60 years. Access to the cottage is by parking at our main house and taking a short walk down a garden path to it.
Lyness Suite Accommodation is located in a separate wing of our home with its own private entrance. The suite and cottage have been carefully restored, retaining their 1920’s charm. Both feature polished rimu floors, lead light windows, and the original tongue and groove wood-lined walls.
Our self catering accommodation makes an excellent honeymoon or special occasion destination with seclusion and tranquillity in this magic spot in the Bay of Islands. Awake to the sound of tuis, watch our sheep grazing at your doorstep, or take a stroll through the beautiful surrounding gardens.
A large croquet green is a feature of our Kerikeri accommodation and can also be used for petanque. We are located about 3 k’s out of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands on a no exit road. There is a nice walk at the end of our road over the river, through a reserve to the Kororipo Pa site and then down to the Stone Store basin.
We also have a tandem kayak available for guest use to paddle up the Kerikeri Inlet or to the Stone Store basin. |
